I became a connector.
How to switch to local, seasonal, and sustainable quality goods, one purchase at a time.
I love food, good food, the kind that doesn’t have any packaging to tell you so. Upon becoming Leader of the Slow Food Ottawa Gatineau Convivia I became even more aware of how hard it is to find local quality products in our area. “Where do you get your ….. locally?” Requests for everything from purple asparagus seeds to a goat made me realize that many more people were getting concerned about where their food came from and how well it was cared for on its (hopefully) short journey!
I became a connector.
I hope to share the knowledge I gained on the journey so far.
I made changes to my life, one at a time on the way, and each time I felt better. It is sort of like paying your health forward don’t you think?
Slow Food is good+clean+fair
We believe that the food we eat should taste good,
be produced in a clean way that does not harm the environment, animal welfare, or human health,
and that it’s producers should receive fair remuneration for their work
