Slow Food Ottawa is celebrating Spring with A Maple Potluck Brunch and Columbian Coffee Tasting- March 30th 11am-3pm Ottawa

Maria De Guzman of Maria Maria –Personal Chef Service, recently back from her native country of Columbia will demonstrate the best way to appreciate the taste of her country’s famous coffee. That should wake our taste buds.

As the temperature rises, the sap in the region’s maple trees really starts to flow. Local farmers and producers will collect it from the bush and boil it down for hours and make it into syrup, taffy, and sugar.

Savory or sweet let’s explore the many uses of local Maple products. Bring along and share a homemade recipe or local dish prepared with anything maple, the star or of the spring season. Be creative!

Everyone is welcome. It is a great opportunity to meet Slow Food members and their families, to share ideas and talk about our foods future.

This event is free but please RSVP your place at my communal table. Donations to Slow Food Ottawa Gatineau will be accepted.

Rides, carpools, and directions will be available.

Come out and enjoy Spring!
